1. 3 Security Personnel Killed as Police, Terrorists Fired at Police Station

Jammu's Kathua District
Three security personnel have reportedly died after terrorists, believed to be a fidayeen group, stormed a police station in Jammu's Kathua district this morning. A terrorist has also been killed in the firefighting.
The terrorists opened fire at the Rajbagh police station a little after 6 am. This police station is located barely 15 kilometres from the International Border.
This is first major incident in Jammu and Kashmir since the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed government took charge earlier this month.

2. Friday's solar eclipse visible across parts of Greenland, Europe, and North Africa

This Friday, a rare total solar eclipse will be visible across parts of Greenland, Europe, and North Africa. Not only is this the only total solar eclipse in 2015, but it's the last of its kind for another 19 years.It's the first total solar eclipse of the 21st century that occurs on the same day as the first day of spring.

3. Axis Bank cuts deposit rates by up to 0.25 per cent

Axis Bank has cut fixed deposit rates by up to 0.25 per cent across various maturities.
The deposit rate cuts, which generally precede a lending rate cut, are on retail deposits under Rs 1 crore and effective from March 11 this year. 
The cut by the country's third largest private bank comes after the Reserve Bank of India slashed its key policy rate by 25 basis points to 7.50% on March 4. One basis point is equal to a hundredth of a percentage point. 

4 . 515 students caught cheating during Bihar board exams

The exams, conducted by Bihar School Education Board, started from March 17 and on Wednesday the students wrote their mathematics paper.Many students smuggled in textbooks and notes into the examination centres despite tight security - and parents and friends were photographed scaling the walls of test centres to pass on answers to students during the current secondary school examinations.
272 students were rusticated for cheating on the opening day of the exams on March 17 across the state, another 243 met the same fate on March 18.
