Lee Kuan Yew was born on September 16, 1923
He was the first Prime Minister of Singapore, governing for three decades. He is widely recognised as the founding father of modern Singapore and also "Architect of Modern Singapore".

2. PM Narendra Modi in 'Mann Ki Baat : Opposition Misleading Farmers on Land Bill

PM Narendra Modi in 'Mann Ki Baat
Reaching out to farmers through his monthly radio programme 'Mann ki Baat', Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the opposition was misleading them on the Land Acquisition Bill by spreading rumours and false propaganda.
He also spoke about the Soil Health Card initiative proposed by the Government which will not only check the soil quality but also devise measure to make it more fertile.
He also said that states are free to reject the amendments made in the Land Acquisition Bill , 2013.

Hingis has won 11 Grand Slams in the team discipline (nine in women’s and two in mixed) while Sania has claimed three Grand Slams (all in mixed) — and their doubles partnership was eagerly awaited in the tennis circuit.

4. CBI probe into IAS officer DK Ravi death case

 Karnataka Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah on Monday decided to handover the investigation of IAS officer DK Ravi's death case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The CID probe was ordered on March 17, a day after 36-year-old Ravi was found dead in his apartment, which police termed a case of suicide for "personal reasons".
The 2009 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer was additional commissioner in the commercial tax department in the city since December 2014 after being transferred from Kolar district, about 100 km away, where he as the as deputy commissioner had built a reputation of being an upright officer for reining in the sand and land mafias.
