1. Over 350 Indians Arrive Home After Rescued From Yemen

Over 350 Indians evacuated from Yemen arrived in Kochi and Mumbai in the early hours today in two Indian Air Force planes in the government's first major mission to rescue its nationals stranded in the strife-torn nation.
An Air Force C-17 Globemaster carrying 168 Indians, including nurses, landed in Kerala's Kochi around 2 am.
The second aircraft, also a C-17 Globemaster, carrying 190 Indian nationals, touched down in Mumbai around 3:25 am at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

2. Petrol price cut by 49 paise per litre, diesel by Rs 1.21

Petrol prices were on Wednesday cut by 49 paise per litre and prices of diesel by Rs 1.21 a litre, after two consecutive hikes, on softening international oil rates.
The reduction in prices of the fuels will be effective from Wednesday midnight.
Prices of petrol in the national capital will be Rs 60 a litre from Thursday as against the current rate of Rs 60.49, while diesel will cost Rs 48.50 per litre as against Rs 49.71 currently

3. RBI likely to leave repo rate unchanged

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will most likely leave its repo rate unchanged at 7.50 per cent at its next monetary policy review on April 7, 2015, but reduce it by 25 basis points by the end of June, a Reuters poll found.
The CRR which has been on hold at 4 per cent since early 2013 - will likely stay unchanged until at least June 2016, the most distant forecast covered by the poll.

4. RBI Approves ING Vysya Bank - Kotak Mahindra Bank Merger

 The Rs 15,000 crore Kotak Mahindra Bank-ING Vysya Bank merger, creating India's fourth largest private sector lender, has received RBI approval and the rebranding process is already underway
After the merger, ING Vysya's around 547 bank branches will be re-branded as Kotak Mahindra Bank outlets.The combined banking entity will have a network of 1,214 branches across the country.

5. G C Murmu appointed as Joint Secretary in Department of Expenditure

 Senior Gujarat bureaucrat G C Murmu, considered as a close confidante of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was today appointed as Joint Secretary in Department of Expenditure.
Murmu, a 1985-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, was the Principle Secretary to Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister.He was among 27 Joint Secretary level officers whose appointment was cleared by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet headed by Prime Minister.
